Breakfast With the Stars

Would you like to have BREAKFAST with either (or all) Apollo 11 astronaut and moon walker Buzz Aldrin, Apollo 9 astronaut Rusty Schweikart, or Prof. Freeman Dyson, President of the Space Studies Institute?

Buzz, Rusty, and Freeman will all be speaking at the ISDC and to help NSS raise additional funds to continue its mission, each of them has offered to host a breakfast at the ISDC. For each of these breakfasts, the three persons making the three largest donations to NSS over $250 for that breakfast will jointly have breakfast with the star of their choice.

Here is how it works. If you would like to bid on a breakfast, send an email to:

with the subject of either:

• Thursday Breakfast with Buzz
• Friday Breakfast with Buzz
• Sunday Breakfast with Rusty
• Monday Breakfast with Freeman

You can offer to make separate donations and bid for separate breakfasts with either Buzz, Rusty, or Freeman. In the email include your name, email address, mailing address, as many contact phone numbers as may help NSS reach you, and the amount you are willing to donate if you are one of the three winners.

Bids for Thursday Breakfast with Buzz must be received by 6:00pm Chicago time (CDT) Wednesday, May 26.
Bids for Friday Breakfast with Buzz, Sunday Breakfast with Rusty, and Monday Breakfast with Freeman must be received by 8:00pm Chicago time (CDT) Thursday, May 27.
Winners will be notified by phone and email the evening the bid closes. All bidders must be at least 18-years old, but the breakfast can be transferred to a minor. There are no rainchecks for these events.
